Tejashwi Yadav meets Mayawati in Lucknow, says ‘SP-BSP alliance will win all seats in Uttar Pradesh’


On Sunday the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav met Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, a day after SP and BSP announced their alliance in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. After the meeting, he added Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would be “whitewashed” in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar”. 

People have welcomed the initiative taken by Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav. The BJP will be whitewashed in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and will not win even one seat in UP. 

The two parties have decided 50-50 seat-sharing deal in Uttar Pradesh. Out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, SP and BSP will contest on 38 seats each and have left two seats for the smaller parties. 

On Sunday congress announced that it will contest on all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP on its own in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. And Tejashwi is scheduled to meet SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Not only this Tejashwi said, “Everyone in the country was looking at UP. Because whoever will reach Delhi to rule will have to pass through Bihar and UP. And the initiative taken by Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav have taken, there is happiness among the people of the country. The majority population welcomes this decision”.

However, the parties announced that they would not field any candidate from Rae Bareili and  Amethi constituency, which is represented by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, respectively.
