School children to say Jai Hind to mark their attendance, declares BJP government in Gujarat


To develop a sense of patriotism among the school children, the BJP government released a new order. According to this order, from 1st January 2019, the students must say ‘ Jai Hind’ or ‘Jai Bharat’ instead of ‘Yes Sir’ or ‘Present Sir’ to mark their attendance. The order was issued by the Gujarat Government on Monday , i.e. , 31st December 2018.

BS Rajgor, Joint Director of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, instructed all the District Education Officers that the students of class 1st to 12th of both, government aided schools as well as private schools, must say ‘Jai Hind’ or ‘Jai Bharat’ to mark their attendance. The copy of the judgement was also handed over to the District Education Officers.

Education Minister of the Gujarat Government , Bhupender Singh Chudasama, said ”it is a great way to bring the feeling of patriotism among the students so that they make our country’s future better”.
