Oppose to citizenship amendment bill 2016

The citizenship bill 2016 was introduced in Lok Sabha to amend the Citizenship Act 1955 to grant indian citizenship irrespective of their religion.
NESO a organisation of 11 students called a shut down across the northeast on January 8. The organisation of students said 11 hour bandh from 5am to 4pm will be observed as black day. AASU chief advisor said that BJP government has forced them to declare bandh despite their reluctance. He further added to his statement that they will burn the copies of the bill across the state as a mark of their protest.
NESO constitute of AASU,TSF,KSU, and many more who are demanding the withdraw of citizenship bill to make northeast free from illegal migrants. A chief advisor of ASSU said that BJP has forced them to declare bandh despite their reluctance. In a press confrence, NESO’s chairman said that students will never accept the amendment in the bill. NESO also requested the people of northeast to co-operate during the bandh.
